The Rx reference point is between the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) and the Call Session Control Function (CSCF), and is used to exchange application level session information between the CSCF application functions. The application function information is part of the input used by the PCRF for the Policy and Charging Control (PCC) decisions.
